This week will be the first time David and I have gotten together since deciding to take a break. Friday - Sunday we’re working a festival 30 minutes outside of Chico called Harvestival. The venue is some campground with a small lake. Since it’s been consistently 70-80 degrees and sunshine everyday, I’m hoping the weather will continue through the weekend.
Hot Buttered Rum is headlining and playing a 3 hour set on Friday, which will be really fun. That day we plan to dress as pirates.
The following day I’ll be attending as a Griffin, a mythical bird which is said to be half eagle half lion. The theme is Where the Wild Things Are, so I figured it would fit in well on that day.
Sunday we’ll rest up a little bit at my house outside of Sac, then continue our journey SW into San Francisco for the actual Halloween holiday. Marty Party, Paper Diamond, Lowriderz, and some others decided to throw a Mad Hatter’s Ball this year. So I’m pretty thrilled to get to enjoy one of my favorite holidays with one of my best friends and some really wonderful music. I’m really thankful to have dated a man who is still willing to be my friend and go on adventures with me. We didn’t end on bad terms or anything, both of our lives are just so up in the air right now that we don’t really know what the future will bring. In either case, we’re friends in the meantime and are ready to get LOO in the big city.
